I don't make my own noodles, but I do make pesto, tons of it! When we can get fresh basil in our local market I'll make tons of pesto, then freeze it in small quantities (it freezes very well). On a cold winter evening, a blast of pesto over noodles reminds me that summer will eventually come.

The pesto sauce sounds easy enough to make but the fresh noodles are another story for me. I have never tried my hand at making them but your post has got me interested. Glad I came across your blog - great info!

My mother was Italian and never made pasta by hand except for gnocchi which I absolutely loved.

Almost made it to Flagstaff a few weeks ago after visiting the Grand Canyon but ran out of time. Maybe next time..

Kristen: Thank you for your kind words. Starting an operating a business in Flagstaff has its challenges as commercial space is very expensive. I've been successful because I've expanded my market area beyond Flagstaff. I've been a SCORE Small Business Counsellor, so if I can help you in any way when you decide what type of business you wish to start, just let me know.

And, yes, I had a dream of owning a B&B once upon a time as well. With the cost of real estate so high here, it can be a challenge to find the right property.

Thanks for stopping in. Come back often as I update this frequently.

Hi Joyce, I came across your website when searching for "Flagstaff Cooking Classes" and am loving what I'm reading! I am a young (25) Flagstaff woman, looking for a business to run or start, and your insights are proving to be quite valuable. My boyfriend and I keep talking about starting a B&B, but isn't that just every new couple's dreamworld? :-) Thanks much for your writings....I just wanted to stop and introduce myself!
